It was 1:30 am. The phone rang for a long time. Pierre eventually picked it up: nobody was on the line.
At 3:50 am, he heard some noise and voices at the door. He went outside and policemen of the RAID pounced on him. He was handcuffed for one hour. His girlfriend, that he supposedly murdered, was there but her presence didn’t calm down the police.
Officers of Marseilles’ 8th District police station then took over procedures from the RAID.
Overall, Pierre spent seven hours in custody. He was only interrogated once. He was released around 11 am without hearing any apology from the police and after several doors were knocked down in his home.

Once again the presidency of the University of Paris 8 Saint-Denis is trampling on the principle of free speech by banning, just 48 hours before the event, a conference organised by the Palestine Paris 8 collective in partnership with other organisations supporting the Palestinian people. This conference aims to denounce the State of Israel’s apartheid policies against the Palestinians. The invited speakers include a young Palestinian activist, Bilal Afandi, the American journalist Max Blumenthal, and an advocate of the BDS (Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions) campaign.
The associations and French political parties undersigned, members of the National collective for a fair and lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis, are deeply concerned with the fate of Andrey Pshenishnikov, young Israeli citizen currently detained in Egypt. Andrey, age 24, after having completed his 3 years’ military obligations, shocked by the crimes of occupation, decided to renounce to his Israeli citizenship and asked for the Palestinian citizenship.

On the 9th of September Zakaria Zubeidi announced that he will embark on a death fast, a complete food and fluid strike, in response to the continuous postponement of his release from Palestinian Authority prison. This effectively means that unless the Palestinian Authority releases Zakaria he will most probably not make it through the week.
