We were shocked by the recent news circulated in Egyptian newspapers about the addition of our son, Ramy Nabeel Shaath onto the Egyptian “terrorism list”. Ramy is a dual-citizen of Egypt and Palestine who has been under detention in Egypt since July 2019. The consequences of this development include placing him under a travel ban, seizing his Egyptian passport and freezing his money and assets. After reviewing the decision published in the Official Gazette, we learned of a further development and that is the inclusion of Ramy in a new court case, No.517 of 2020.

Ramallah, March 19, 2020 (Updated on April 13, 2020)—Defense for Children International - Palestine calls on Israeli authorities to take immediate action to release all Palestinian child detainees in Israeli prisons due to the rapid global spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Palestinian children imprisoned by Israeli authorities live in close proximity to each other, often in compromised sanitary conditions, with limited access to resources to maintain minimum hygiene routines, according to documentation collected by DCIP. COVID-19’s impact is exacerbated by these living conditions making Palestinian children in Israeli prisons and detention centers increasingly vulnerable.
As COVID-19 arrives in Gaza, Israelis launch a campaign raising funds and calling on their government to take responsibility for the crisis in the Strip.

The new coronavirus has reached Gaza, and it is terrifying to imagine the potential outcome of a mass spread of COVID-19 in the besieged Strip. This is true not only because of how deadly the virus can be in the absence of a vaccine, but also because of the specific conditions in Gaza. The enclave has an extremely high population density and a dilapidated infrastructure, the result of lethal and disproportionate military attacks that Israel carries out every few months — most recently only a few days ago.
To the British public.
The fact which is often ignored in the debate about anti-Semitism in the UK is that many Jews in the UK and throughout Europe oppose the policies of Israel, and strongly reject the claims of that state to represent them.
The following speech was given by Michèle Sibony at the manifestation contre l’islamophobie (Demonstration against Islamophobia) in Paris, 10 November 2019.
Sibony was speaking as a member and spokeperson for the Union juive française pour la paix (the French Jewish Union for Peace) – a ‘Jewish antiracist and anti-Zionist organization’, as another member explained recently to Jacobin.

Since the beginning of the year, settler attacks on Palestinians and their property, particularly farmers, have been on the rise. While Palestinians were preparing for Eid al-Fitr holiday on the fifth of June, a group of settlers disrupted their celebrations by burning down 300 dunums of agricultural land in the village of Jalud, south of the city of Nablus, destroying 1000 olive trees that are 65 years old!

For the 400 signatories of this text, anti-Zionism is a legitimate opinion in opposition to Israel’s colonising logic. The fact that it may serve as an alibi for anti-semites does not justify it being banned.

We are Jews, heirs of a long time when the great majority of Jews believed that their emancipation as an oppressed minority passed through the emancipation of all humanity.
We are anti-Zionists because we reject the separation of the Jews from the rest of humanity.
A warning from farmers association from Khuza’a and Abasan
Rural Association For Agricultural Development (RAAD) and French Jewish Union for Peace (UJFP)
Stubbornness of Gazan farmers, keeping with cultivating their fields, should it be under bullets, is one of the vivid form of Palestinian resistance. French solidarity movement understands it clearly, as shown by the success of the two water-tower campaigns coordinated by UJFP, meant to allow watering Khuza’a and Abasan fields located nearby the separation fence.
