Manifesto “Solidarity, more than ever an offense? “ (Call)

Thursday 19 January 2017

January 2017

Of course, solidarity has never been included in any code as an offense.

However, associative activists who are only helping people in very precarious situations, victims of dangerous, violent and even inhuman decisions, find themselves facing justice today.

With the introduction of a state of emergency, and in the context of the so-called “migratory crisis”, there has been a resurgence of prosecutions aimed at preventing the expression of solidarity with migrants, refugees, Roma and undocumented migrants. It is the support for all foreigners which tends to become suspect, the expression of the contestation of the policies being carried out which is assimilated with rebellion and the disturbance to public order.

A history of shared struggle for collective liberation (Call)

Sunday 15 January 2017

Freedom, Bound is a multi-media exhibit that aims to historicize contemporary expressions and acts of Black-Palestinian solidarity within the rich legacy of a long established and dynamic international freedom struggle. The Freedom, Bound collection will feature key artifacts over decades of collective, transnational-work in pursuit of historic justice, with an initial focus on the chosen alliance between Black Americans and Palestinians. The exhibit’s curatorial framework employs a non-linear approach to history, displaying present and past expressions of solidarity simultaneously. The transhistorical presentation draws attention to the timeless resonance and inherent interconnectedness of struggles against oppression.

Declaration of EJJP (European Jews for a Just Peace) (Call)

The Israeli government attempts to forbid any criticism of its policy, both inside in Israel and abroad. It pretends that all the people criticizing Israel are anti-Semitic.

Israeli peace activist and human rights defender Ezra Nawi arrested under gag order (Call)

Monday 18 January 2016

By ANONYMOUS ISRAELI ACTIVISTS; published: Jan 17, 2016

A Statement From Anonymous Israeli Activists:

We would like to alert you to an ominous development in Israel. Having denied Palestinians under Occupation their rights to any form of political protest, the Israeli government is now in the process of doing the same to Israeli citizens who support the Palestinian cause. Last week the Israeli police arrested Ezra Nawi, our friend and prominent dissident, who has been indispensable in the struggle for the survival of Palestinian communities in the South Hebron Hills.
